Na #6 z #15 wpadają jak burza Jay-Z z Alicią Keys. To taki słodki powiew dobrego hip-hopu z lat 90tych w obecnym mainstreamie. Może uważam tak dlatego, że tytuł wyraźnie nawiązuje do klasycznego "New York State of Mind" Nasa ze wspaniałego krążka "Illmatic"? Ale kawałek ma w sobie coś optymistycznego, co w każdy szary poranek w drodze na uczelnię dodaje mi całe mnóstwo motywacji!

Wśród rockowych numerów Jet o włos wyprzedził "The Fixer" Pearl Jam i tym samym trafił do top 10. A w poczekalni już znaleźć można kolejne single z nowych płyt obu zespołów.

W tym tygodniu aż siedem nowych kawałków wchodzi do top 40, na czele z monumentalnym awansem "September in the Rain" zespołu Roya Hargrove'a. To jazz z najwyższej półki i akurat wspaniale słucha się go jesienią. Poza tym gwałtownie awansuje nowy, rewelacyjny singiel Basement Jaxx "Feelings Gone" (aż of 43 pozycje w górę!), a także zimowy duet Willie Nelson i Norah Jones, w amerykańskim klasyku. Do top 40 po trzech tygodniach powraca także "Hard Times" Patricka Wolfa w 21 tygodniu pobytu na liście. Kto by pomyślał...
